NYC 2010

Went to NYC with my roommate and had a blast. I love NYC at Christmastime.

Spent most of the weekend shopping and eating (oh how we ate), but had to make a pit stop at Macy's.

The Macy's window this year is the story of "Yes, Virginia there is a Santa." They did an amazing job with it.

The inside was just as decked out as the outside.

Also explored Central Park a bit. There is always something you haven't seen.

And of course made it to the Bethesda Fountain!

As I said we ate really well.

Goat Cheese Omlet. GENIUS.

I have never heard of a scotch egg. Egg in sausage, deep fried...AMAZING!!

And of course you need dessert...cupcakes here we come. David standing in line.

They were amazing. And bite size. Seriously-ridiculously small, so its like the calories don't even count...even if you do eat half a dozen in one sitting.

And if that's not sweet enough, we had to make a pit stop at Dylan's Candy Bar.

First time on the Brooklyn Bridge. Really amazing views.

Recap 2

I think I've decided that instead of consistently updating my blog like most people, I'm just going to do a recap every 3 or 4 months. This could change next week when I update it again, but for now, this is my excuse for not posting for 3 months. (what??? it could be true).

Alright, in the past few months...

Brett and Erin and family came to visit.

An underground slide!!

Already doing pushups. Dad must be strict.

Went up to NJ for a weekend for Michele Monteforte's wedding.

I decided that in addition to a desk, dresser, nightstand, bookcase, queen sized bed and another drawer/stand, that I should somehow try to fit a Tree into my 10x12 bedroom. Yes-everytime i roll over in bed i hit the tree-but it fit!! I love Christmas.

I often take for granted where I work, both DC and working next to the White House. Well this is my building (Treasury) and this is work's front yard-its the White House Christmas display. How many times a day do i walk past the white house and not think about it, but I did yesterday and luckily had my camera, so shot a few shots.

Of course-the Holiday's aren't complete without some ice skating. I'm not in NYC, so can't do Central Park or Rockefeller Center, but the DC Sculpture Garden Ice Rink is pretty amazing...and I had a blast with friends!

Finally, I was talking with a friend and mentioned that I wasn't doing Christmas Cards. Jokingly, he said I had to get him one and it had to be homemade. But why stop with one???? They were a lot of fun to make, but took a lot more time than I expected.
